







Helen Ceasars modern pentathlon training
Germany, Berlin, 29.6.2011. (c) DANIEL ROSENTHAL Intermezzo: Helen Caesar, 10 years old, trains modern pentathlon in the intensive training centre in Berlin. Modern pentathlon is a sports contest that includes 5 events: pistol shooting,epee fencing, 200 m freestyle swimming, show jumping (horse) and a 3 km cross-country run. Helen concentrates right before shooting with a laser pistol. The modern pentathlon was invented by Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games. Helen, born 10.4.2001 in Berlin, started training at the age of eight and according to her trainer Friederike Brenker is highly talented. Helen trains 3 times a week for about 2-3 hours each time, but from automn onwards she will train 4 times per week. Her favorite disciplines are laser pistol shooting and epee fencing.

AKA is an hybrid art space: a galery, a tattoo piercing and body-modification atelier. The gallery is meant to welcome exhibitions and performers. The tattoo artists are selected for their specific and strong visual ideas, most of them do not come from a traditional tattoo background: they are visual artists, silkscreen printers, illustrators, painters, street artists in the first place. AKA wants to present a new vision of tattoo, a fresh and innovative one!

Thohsaphol Sitiwatjana (May 4, 1953) is a Thai-American martial artist and Muay Thai instructor. He is known as Master Toddy because after moving to the UK, people were unable to pronounce his name correctly. Thosophon has been a Muay Thai instructor since the age of 16 and has trained over 40 world champions over 5 decades. He has also featured in several movies (James Bond) and produced his own TV Shows.

Germany, Berlin, Admiralspalast, 6.7.2013 (c) DANIEL ROSENTHAL Sven Ratzke performs Hedwig and the angry inch in the Admiralspalast. Sven Ratzke (born 1977) is a Dutch-German cabaret artist, entertainer and singer. He lives in Amsterdam and Berlin and performs internationally. Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a 2001 American musical comedy-drama film based on the stage musical of the same name about a fictional rock band fronted by an East German transgender singer. The film was adapted and directed by John Cameron Mitchell, who also portrayed the title role.

Jakop Ahlbom

Phantasmagoria loosely based on the LES CONTES D’HOFFMANN of Jacques Offenbach (1819 – 1880); musical adaptation and new compositions by Anne Champert. Commissioned by the Deutsche Oper Berlin, stage-production Jakop Ahlbom. Premiered at the Deutsche Oper Berlin on 18. September, 2013. Jakop Ahlbom has worked for years on his own unique theatrical trade mark, were theatre, mime, dance, music and the world of illusion come together as one. With his fragmental way of working and his own mixture of disciplines, he creates images lager than theatre. Ahlbom (Sweden, 1971) came to the Netherlands in the ‘90s, to attend the Theatre School (Mime) in Amsterdam. In 1998 he was awarded the Top Naeffprijs for most promising student. The jury described him as a dedicated, striking and exuberant talent. After graduating, Jakop worked with a range of unique individuals and groups including Karina Holla, Roy Peters, Alex d’Electrique, De Daders, Nieuw West, De Groep van Steen, de PeerGrouP/ZappSnacks, Orkater, het Ro theater (as choreographer) and Unieke Zaken (as director). In 2000 he made the performance STELLA MARIS, under the wings of Het Veemtheater in Amsterdam.

She wrote about the legendary Dutch furniture company Pastoe, which will celebrate its 100th jubilee in spring 2013.
